$700,000 Verdict

On December 21, 2022, after a 2-day trial, Cara O’Brien and Avalon Brandt of O’Brien Law obtained justice for a client in the form of a verdict of almost three quarters of a million dollars. Their client was walking down the sidewalk at the 400-block of E. Pratt Street in Baltimore, Maryland, when he tripped on defective pavers and fell, shattering his elbow and requiring five surgeries. The jury awarded $344,625.24 in economic damages for past medical expenses and $355,374.76 in non-economic damages for pain and suffering for a total of $700,000.
